The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocationally Achievement qualification is for assessors who assess competence and knowledge and skills and using any of the following assessment methods:

observation examination of work products witness and learner statements
oral and written questioning discussion projects
case studies recognition of prior learning (RPL) assignments
simulations





Who should do this award?
Practitioners who assess competence in the workplace as well as knowledge and understanding in a non-work environment. This award is appropriate for those wishing to become a workplace assessor for the IRSE Licensing Scheme .

Duration
It can take anywhere from 1 to 18 months to achieve this unit. The guided learning hours for this qualification (the amount of time spent with the assessor or gathering evidence) is 84 hours. On average most people complete within 12 months.

Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites for this award although you must have access to candidates that you can assess in their work environment.
