The Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (6317-32) award is for who assess knowledge or skills in a learning environment i.e. a classroom or training environment and use the following assessment methods:

simulations skills tests oral and written questioning
assignments projects case studies
recognition of prior learning (RPL)





Who should do this award?
Practitioners who assess knowledge and understanding in a non-work environment such as a classroom or training environment. This award is not appropriate for those wishing to become a workplace assessor for the IRSE Licensing Scheme .

Duration
It can take anywhere from 1 to 18 months to achieve this unit. The guided learning hours for this qualification (the amount of time spent with the assessor or gathering evidence) is 54 hours. On average most people complete within 9 months.

Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites for this award although you must have access to candidates that you can assess in their work environment.
